Using AIE’s systems and processes we are able to provide effective and competent EPCM services to our clients. AIE’s Project Development Process (APDP) ensures the clients best interests are considered throughout the life of the project. Our EPCM services work through a 5 phase system or depending on the Clients requirements a tailored approach can be adopted. Phase 1 to 5 are as follows:

Phase 1 – Prefeasibility, feasibility & Basic design (Identify options and complete basic designs)

Phase 2 – Front End Engineering & Design (FEED) (Develop preferred option/s and select solution)

Phase 3 – Detailed design (Finalise design and project documentation)

Phase 4 – Execution of works (Request for tender through to construction completion)

Phase 5 – Commissioning & Start Up (CSU) & handover and operations (Mechanical completion through to effective operations)

Each phase demands clear deliverables which take into consideration project size and criticality. The requirements for each phase are determined by placing the project into one of four categories as identified below.

CategoryProject Size / TypeCriticality
1Simple remediation, construction or fabricationLow risk
2Small projectLow to medium risk
3Medium ProjectMedium risk to high risk
4Large projectHigh risk to critical risk
